* Applying for “first house” the buyer should:

– issue a residence within 18 months of purchase

– must be confirmed within 5 years of residence in the Municipality of the purchased real estate

– no right to sell the property within 5 years if he does not acquire another property in Italy

– the most economical interest has to be in Italy

For those who do not speak Italian, the sales contract must be translated into mother tongue language. Translation cost about 1’000/2’000 €, depending on the complexity of the contract.
